I'm moving!

Or rather the blog is... I just got sick of having to deal with pictures not aligning properly, having to resize them in the HTML every post and text not looking how I want it. So where is it moving to then? Tumblr. I managed to find a free theme I actually don't hate and everything looks neat, clean and very minimalist. Without all the superfluous crap everywhere, there's more of a focus on content. I've already moved some of the more important posts over with more to follow, but I won't be moving all of them. Cause you know, CBF... I'm still ironing out a few issues here and there but if you want to see how the new and improved d! Konstruct looks, why not check out? d-konstruct.tumblr.com

I know EVEN MORE shortcuts!

All the CS6 shortcuts!

Hooray!!!! The CS6 shortcut sheets are finally finished!!! Use the stupid hard-to-see link above to download them. I tried to make it red!

I suppose I've been working on them since the end of November. I did finish them sooner but I was kinda busy and then I found a way to make them even more AWESOME! I finally figured out the stupid Apple modifier key symbols (Command, Shift, Option, Control), and included them on the top. Why are they stupid? Well, the symbols all over drop-down menus but not on the actual Apple keyboard itself! Which makes soooo much sense. I used only the symbols because they really ought to be memorised. Once you do, you can figure out all the shortcuts in any program by yourselves! Something useful to remember is 'shift up', since shifting is movement. Then the others are easy. Everyone knows the squiggly Command key right? The ONLY symbol on the keyboard.

Because I included the symbols instead of words, it took a little longer to double-check everything and get it right the first time. I certainly didn't want to give you guys dodgy stuff riddled with mistakes and spelling errors. And before you ask, we spell 'colour' with a 'u' and 'minimise' with an 's' in Australia, that's just how we roll. So what else is new this time? I modified the leading to make space for even more useful shortcuts! Anyway, I hope you find them useful!

——————————————ATTENTION——————————————
If anyone plans to put my shortcut sheets on their blog/website (or some random Spanish infographic websites, you know who you are), could you mention me, Dijana Jovanovic, and link back to my blog — d-konstruct.blogspot.com

It's only fair you know, it is my work after all! I'm totally cool with my work being put on other sites like Pinterest or whatever (since it links back to me), in fact that's awesome and I love it. Anyway... I so rarely do things out of the kindness of my heart, so a mention is always nice...

Ahoy, me hearties!

Does that rope look familiar?
Yo ho ho!
I'm working on another little project. I won't give any hints just yet, but these are the first super-rough sketches. Lets just say it'll be both useful and EPIC! I was so into it that I stayed up til nearly 4am drawing! I might even break out the water colours!

It's been such a long time since I actually drew things by hand (illustrative work). I was rather happy to discover I can still draw and emulate other styles as well — Sailor tattoos. Art by Sailor Jerry and Angelique Houtkamp was particularly inspiring.

Come on Eileen!

E1027 Adjustable Side Table — Eileen Gray (1927)
On Sunday, I bought my first piece of Mid-Century Modern furniture!!! It's the E1027 Adjustable Side Table, designed by Irish furniture designer Eileen Gray in 1927. Okay, it may slightly more Art Deco than Mid-Century, but hey, it's FREAKIN AWESOME!!! This pieces was designed for her summer house in the south of France called E1027.

"How ever did you find such awesomeness in Perth?" I hear you ask! Well, I saw a small furniture ad in the paper last week with a picture of it and I lost my shit! I was like ERMAGERD SERD TERBLE!!! Then on Sunday, I went over to Go-Go Furniture in Osborne Park to check it out! They also have quite a few other affordable bits and pieces I'm eyeing for later (EAMES LOUNGE CHAIR and really cool couches). The chances of finding an E1027 Adjustable Side Table in Perth of all places was slim to none, so I couldn't leave without buying it!!! I'll totally hit this place up again... When I move out... Eventually...

Also, that is not my picture. I couldn't bring myself to take one because it made the rest of the furniture in my room look ugly.

Prepare yourselves...

They're almost done! Just have to make the Illustrator one...
About a week ago, I got Adobe CS6 Design standard edition. So I figured it was about time to update the shortcut sheets. I'll upload them in a week or two when I've finished the Illustrator one.
